Hobby Products International(HPI) was founded in 1986, when a line of electric RC motors called the "Uno" series were among the first products produced.
As each year comes, HPI has proved more and more successful. In the early 90's, HPI began manufacturing option parts for touring cars, and released motors for off-road trucks. They started to be successfully and recognised for selling hop-ups for 1/10 scale touring cars and Nitro cars. Popular parts included front and rear suspension pieces for F1 and lowering kits for Tamiya TA02 sedans. F1 parts are some of the most popular parts that HPI now produces. Super Radial tires were also introduced for touring cars, as well as five and six-spoke wheel designs. HPI expanded year on year throughout the 90's and in 1998 they launched the UK branch (HPI Europe) to cover distribution to Europe, Russia, the Middle East and other areas. Although HPI have grown throughout the years, they have always maintained their high quality RC motors and kits.
